Top 10 Property Investor Blogs

The benefits of investing in property are numerous. With well-chosen assets, investors can enjoy predictable cash flow, excellent returns, tax advantages, and diversification—and it's possible to leverage property to build wealth.


But it’s best to be completely abreast of what’s happening in the market, so I’m a regular reader (and increasingly listener) of some of the brilliant UK property blogs (and podcasts) around. 

So, whether you’re thinking about investing in property, or you’re already a well-seasoned property investor, check out some of my favourites to keep track of what you need to know. And number 10 does exactly what it says on the tin ☺

1. Boomin

What is it?

The Property, News, Advice and Guides section of the site packed with excellent advice for buyers, landlords and tenants etc. 

Why Do I like it?

Refreshing blogging and social presence. It’s a notable entry into the rental property scene. It might not be for everyone, but I also like its clever range of home design tips. 

 

2. Property Week

What is it?

An authoritative voice on the UK property sector which reports on property investment for both commercial and residential property. Property Week brings news stories, insightful analysis and in-depth reporting on the biggest issues facing the industry.

Why Do I like it?

Not to be missed by anyone who takes their involvement in this market seriously.

 

3. Inside Property Investing

What is it?

The Inside Property Investing blog is a specialist resource for HMO investors. It provides insights and tips from its founders. As well as plenty of free guides, there are also in-depth paid courses to choose from.

Why Do I like it?

As a self-confessed podcast junkie, I can highly recommend this regular interview show from Mike Stenhouse, sharing the stories of the most inspiring and successful property investors and entrepreneurs. It’s a great listen and a good resource too ☺

 

4. Landlord Zone

What is it?

Landlord Zone is a specialist site for landlords, providing up to date news and features. It also has forums, podcasts, opinion pieces etc. 

Why Do I like it?

Excellent download centre for all the essential documents you need as a UK landlord. These include check-in and check-out forms, Right-to-Rent Declaration and a variety of specific tenancy forms. Hallelujah!

 

5. Anna Clare Harper

What is it?

A blog (and podcast).

Why Do I like it?

Named as one of Management Today’s ‘35 Women under 35’, the simply brilliant Anna Clare Harper is a best-selling author and real estate investment adviser with £2bn+ transaction and strategy experience behind her Anna Clare offers insights for people who want to invest in UK property in a socially responsible way.

 

6. Progressive Property blog

What is it?

The Progressive Property Blog (and podcast) which has some very sensible strategy and advice on buy to let, investment and property management.  

Why Do I like it?

It’s super inspirational for aspiring property entrepreneurs, along with experienced investors. The Progressive Property Podcast features content from the founders Rob Moore & Mark Homer (who achieved financial independence through property in their 20’s,) as well as several the company’s special guests and regular trainers.

 

7. PropertyWire

What is it?

PropertyWire  is a news service for investors, agents and developers and has a loyal audience of property professionals.

Why Do I like it?

The service has a loyal following of property professionals who trust its comprehensive, straightforward coverage of UK property industry news and events. 

It’s just a great resource for buyers, commercial and residential property investors and estate agents.

 

8. Joseph Mews

What is it?

Joseph Mews itself is a newish property investment company, but the team have belting track records, having been successful in the property business for quite some time.  

Why Do I like it?

Their blog has a whole host of useful news updates covering a whole range of property issues and it is also the gateway to a super useful series of downloadable guides.

 

9. Rentround

What is it?

An excellent destination for landlords, Rentround offers a simple way to compare letting agent fees and ratings. 

Why Do I like it?

It provides a comprehensive resource - you can Search using your postcode & property details, compare fees & performance of agents in your area and get quotes from the best matching agents & finalize a deal. It also has a selection of in-depth articles on lettings, property prices, rental yields, and policy updates etc.

 

10. Portico Surprisingly Useful Blog

What is it?

London agent Portico’s Surprisingly Useful Blog. There’s also a category of content attached to Portico Direct specifically aimed at private landlords.

Why Do I like it?

I stumbled across this on a search mission for a London rental yield map, which is brilliant by the way, but the whole blog is well laid out and incredibly useful at the same time. It’s split into categories for landlords, vendors, and tenants, as well as maintenance advice and company news.
